Frequently Asked Questions

Let those hairs grow!!

The hair needs to be about the length of a grain of rice. This will make it so the wax can stick to the hair and you can get that silky smooth feel. This takes about 4 weeks, depending on the person.

Waxing gets better every wax!!

If you wax every 4 weeks, each service is better than the next. This is because your follicle starts to shrink after every wax, and your first wax has hair in different stages of the growth cycle. By your second wax, your hair will by more unified. Taking your preferred painkiller 2 hours before coming in will help reduce the pain for your first few services. Always talk to a medical professional before taking pain medication.

Exfoliate one day before you come in.

This will remove the dead skin blocking your pores and hairs. This will make your service faster, and help prevent ingrown hairs afterwards.

Wait two days after your service before exfoliating again.

Waxing is an excellent form of exfoliation, so your covered for two days!! Also, your skin will be tender for the next day, so you need to take care not to irritate it. Once your skin is healed, you should exfoliate every 2-4 days depending on skin type and what exfoliator you use.

When should I wait to get a wax?

The number one thing I care about is my Client’s Safety. For that reason there are certain times I can’t work on your skin. Never get a wax on oral antibiotics, when and where you are using Retinol, or when using Accutane (oral). Your skin has some natural defenses that are worn down when on these medications, and waxing is a great exfoliator. Combining the two leads to hyper exfoliation in the areas where you are waxing and medicating.
